Will the second wave of coronavirus be even more devastating?
The current pandemic of covid-19 a coronavirus has put us all in a crisis. Whether you have lost someone to it or not. If you don’t have the virus, you still need to worry that you will become infected, are an asymptomatic carrier and could infect others, have friends or relatives you are either worried will become symptomatic or that already are. Or you are struggling with the costs and repercussions of the efforts to slow/stop the spread and have either had to close a business, been laid off from a closed business or furloughed from a closed business. If you are an essential worker, you may be fearful for the health of yourself and family, feeling underpaid and under appreciated. . Worst of all are those that are experiencing the illness and suffering alone and those that have loved ones with it and can’t see them while they are ill, nor if they succumb even have a funeral to say their goodbyes. Add that all of us have experienced price increases and supply shortages. Really no one has escaped some sort of effect from the pandemic.
History tells us that eventually we will recover as a nation both physically and for the most part economically. But it could take years and some of the older folks in our population may not see it. A sad fact. History also tells us there is always a resurgence of these viruses. Another sad fact. How long do we have, will it be more severe or less? Will we get a vaccine or a cure before we have to deal with that resurgence? What if it comes at the same time as the flu virus? How bad could it get?
The CDC of course can’t answer all those questions without some guessing involved but for the answers they are comfortable releasing see the featured link below
