I can think of a dozen ways that after and during a SHTF event that could land you in the wilderness.

Surviving in the wilderness would be a challenge on its own, add that someone or a group could be attempting to flush you personally or all persons hiding in that area out to be taken into unfriendly unlawful custody is a whole new scenario. It could be marauders looking to take over your encampment, steal your supplies or worst of all intend harm to you and or your family. Being grey in an urban scenario is a very different tactic to being literally hunted in the woods.
