Vantablack: Synthetic Black Hole Material
Vantablack is a synthetic material that absorbs 99.965% of light. Which basically means it makes whatever it covers almost totally invisible to the human eye! The uses are uncountable! Pictured is crumpled aluminum foil, which appears even to the camera lens to be a black hole in the aluminum hiding the ridges and lumps.
The featured article is old as far as internet articles go… but I haven’t heard anything more about this material. I wonder if it’s being used.
