US Power Grid Vulnerable To EMP?

Sadly, we still need to worry about the effects of living in a nuclear capable world. Our worries are less now about direct nuclear hits on our home soil and more concerned with the aftereffects on our power grid. We are less likely to be aware from whence the hit will come as it appears that if a nuclear device is to be used could be country against country or a terrorist group against the citizens of a country. Not directly aimed anymore to maim and kill as many as possible but to take from them their ability to fight back, to rebuild, to heal, and to recover from their wounds if that were to be possible.

Taking down the power grid does just that. It throws the country attacked and its people backward ripping from them years of technological advances. Particularly deadly to those countries like the UK, China, and the USA who are especially dependent upon technology for everyday life.
