Survival Crops That Grow Without Irrigation

One of the worries in a survival scenario is the ability to acquire enough of the proper food supplies to maintain good health. A way of doing that is of course to grow your own survival crops.

However, every living thing requires water to thrive. In a number of SHTF scenarios obtaining enough water to keep you and your group healthily hydrated is an issue. This could make irrigation impossible. If you do have a water source that is safe to use on your crops, there could possibly be the issue of OPSEC as well. You don’t necessarily want to draw attention to your crops nor your water supply. I feel we will have so many other manual chores that hand watering crops will not be at the top of my want to do list!

So I have always wondered what staple crops I could grow if SHTF and not worry to much about irrigation.
