Store Rice Long Term
All most every culture in the world eats rice in one form or another. So it’s a common staple in most homes. It also doubles in size when prepared so you can store large amounts in a smaller space than with other foods. A single cup of rice can provide just over 200 calories which based upon a 2000 calorie a day diet is 10% of the daily intake required to keep energy levels up and maintain health. In a long term crisis scenario this is an important concern. People will be working physically harder and require full caloric intake to maintain. But how to store a large amount without worry that it will become buggy or rancid is important for it to be usable when you need it! (BTW brown is likely to become rancid in a shorter time frame than is the white). For tips on safely storing rice see the link below
