Stopping and Reporting Phone Harassment
Some people may not consider phone harassment to be a preparedness or SHTF concern. Unless you have been a victim or know a victim. It can begin as nuisance and become a major safety issue. Many violent crimes begin with the victim particularly a woman being stalked and or threatened by harassing phone calls and messages.
Ignoring them can become a major security issue. Often the bully or aggressor can be brave while remaining anonymous and faceless behind technology whether it be over the phone or online As the harassment increases so does the bravery and feeling of power of the instigator. Our phones are suppose to be for our convenience and use not instruments of control over us by an outside aggressor. Never assume that repeated bothersome calls or texts from someone known or unknown will simply go away or are harmless. Take an active defensive stance and protect yourself. Let the aggressor know you will not be victimized and forced to change all your contacts at their whim.
Part of being prepared is to insure your quality of life and protecting yourself and family from harm. It is always best to err on the side of caution.
