I took this article in a different direction did the author. I see it as having value in a different context. We all pretty much know what grows well in our geographical region and what doesn’t, even if we aren’t growing it ourselves. But when we are planning our survival pantry we do so by the rule of store what you eat and eat what you store. Then items that will be of high barter value.

What about items that we may not love, but grow well in our area being stored to barter for items that don’t grow well where you are? What items grow well in an area that you could find yourself in after bugging out or being relocated after the crisis event? Or items that we don’t always think about but would be nice to have after a crisis that are imported to our regions. Here in Washington state that could mean things like citrus fruit, tropical fruits or nuts etc…. After a crisis event here, after a year or so, an orange or peanuts could be very valuable barter

Take a look at the featured article from Survivopedia in that light as well as the intended at the featured link below
