This seems like a simple task. One of those now why didn’t I think of that ideas. If your low on matches and know you have other fires to light, this is a way you can double or even quadruple the number of flames you are able to produce.
However, it is not as easy as it appears in the graphic above! The tip can crumble easily costing you the match and gaining you nothing. However, practice makes perfect and with the tips included on the type of match to use and how to prevent crumbling etc.. at the link below you could find yourself able to double your success rate to increase your match supply in an emergency.
