Solar Powered Salt Water Distiller

Water security is an important issue for everyone world wide, not just preppers and no longer just in third world countries. This simple solar powered salt water distiller can change the lives of those who live with the daily struggle to find fresh drinking water.
The featured article is about putting one together and estimates the one shown as costing approximately $50 USD to produce. If you live in an area with lots of salt water and not a whole lot of fresh water sources knowing how this works (also described in the article) in a SHTF scenario this will be a life saver! This design has the bonus of being set up to be carried upon the head which is quite common in many countries where water must be carried from it’s source back to the home or taken with you as you travel. Again something preppers need to take into consideration for a long term crisis. We talk about setting up our bug out location near a water source but that might not be practical nor safe as the “bad guys” will have the same idea and also need fresh water.
