Initially preparing requires stocking up on items you know you will need if there is an emergency situation, You begin on the short term like 72 hours and move up from there. The end hope for most is to be almost completely self sufficient and self reliant. To do that you will need to have a steady source of food which means gardening and livestock. However, what if you only have a small plot of land? or don’t want a full blown farm or ranch in today’s “normal” world. Small livestock might be the answer for  you.
