Why is it so rare to see statistics on the positives? Probably for a couple of reasons, 1st because positive never gets as much attention as does the negative. Secondly especially when it comes to subjects like preparedness the positive statistics are hard to find and prove. It’s much easier to count the number of people stranded in a shelter than those who made it out or that were successful in hunkering down during a natural disaster. It can be even easier to count the dead. Basically the negative is just more accessible.

Even though I am aware of the tilting of statistical data due to the ease of the negative, the featured article below from True Prepper contains some fairly frightening facts. See them for yourself at the link
