Safety Tips for Bringing Home Groceries During a Pandemic
This is a scenario that is new to this generation. We have never experienced a pandemic in this way before in our life times. Millions of people are on stay at home orders and others in self quarantine. Allowed only to leave their homes for work if they are deemed essential personnel or to obtain necessities like groceries or medical care including medications.
However, what about when you bring those purchases into your home? It brings to mind questions on just how long and on what surfaces the virus can live. Are you bringing into your safe home the very virus your at home to avoid? Honestly, we can’t verify the health status of those essential workers that are restocking and checking out those items. Until wide spread testing is available we know that anyone of them could and many will become sick themselves.
Now some of these tips may be further than some of you want to act on and will call his tips over reacting. Frankly, I would be grateful for anyone who took my own mother’s health so seriously while assisting her through this pandemic. But any one that you do decide is of value for your personal situation and those you may be shopping for is one more bit of protection for you and those you care for.
