Raising Ducks VS Chickens

More and more people are raising chickens as an effort to be self-sufficient. They collect eggs daily and should the need arise the chickens could be butchered for meat providing protein in a SHTF scenario. However, as this trend increases we are hearing rumor that duck is quickly becoming the new chicken!
Ducks can be a great addition to the flock. Their eggs are even richer than chicken eggs, contain more nutrients and best of all, they keep the bug population down! Never mind that the eggs are bigger.
