Rainwater Harvesting Laws
As we previously reported – Man Does Time for Water Collecting – The United States has implemented some rainwater harvesting laws (for a look at those see State Rainwater Harvesting Laws) and it appears those states that have these laws are not only getting stricter but are being joined by other states. Right now this is a relatively minor issue in the US as the amounts of water collected by most of us are well under those regulated. But once started is it a slippery slope that will grow into a major issue not only here but in other countries? Just who owns what? Since when is nature owned by anyone and not everyone?
