Procuring Water in a Survival Situation
Using the rule of 3, you have 3 days to obtain safe drinkable water, or you won’t make it. But surviving entails more than just staying alive for those 3 days… you have to be able to function, to keep going, to seek out shelter etc. Assuming you can continue to function adequately for those 3 days without water efficiently is fool hardy. If you’re on foot carrying enough water to stay reasonably hydrated is difficult to say the least. Water is not light or easy to carry in the amounts needed. So other than seeking shelter to protect yourself from the elements and keeping yourself safe from whatever you are bugging out from and/or whatever is the most immediate threat to your life, finding drinkable water is a high priority.
