What Are You Prepping For?
That sounds like a redundant question doesn’t it? I am prepping for a disaster of course!
No one can prepare for every disaster that might befall us. Experienced preppers will tell you that the first step in preparing is to know what is the most likely event that you are preparing for. Some events will require different preparations than others, Some will mean simply adding some additional gear to what you already have.
Start with the most likely event in your location and build from there. Where I live tends to be a bit of a cross road for natural disasters. We experience floods and wind storms on a fairly regular basis. So that where I have put the bulk of my preparing efforts. We ‘floated’ through the last flood with out a single issue. I am quite proud of how well prepared we were and we had a total loss of zero! We were not the ones standing in line for bottled water, or driving miles around the water and damage seeking groceries. The shelves were empty for miles as the trucks could not get through to restock. My young children simply thought they had a cool break from school.
Now that the most likely event has been prepared for we move on to the next. For us it is both earthquake and volcano eruption. Just what it is for you?
