No one can predict the future, what we will or will not experience and what those experiences will cause us to need. None of us can be an expert on everything and no one man or woman can survive completely alone for an extended period of time during a disaster. There are just to many things that an individual can’t do and or produce on their own. So comes in the barter concept. Trading what you have or know for what you don’t. But a major part of preparing for bartering is to figure out what will be needed and what you can learn that other’s will want to know and be willing to trade for.
