Prayer, Mindset, Confidence, and Training:
Reduce the Stress and Worry of Prepping
Like any substance or activity prepping can become a source of stress and worry in your life. Almost like an addiction. I know I have gone through cycles in my life where an activity including prepping has taken too much of my time and money. I have had to step back and remind myself that the intent is to insure my quality of life and not take over my here and now. It’s especially easy to do when the world around us is in chaos.
No one likes to talk about the stress or worry that can come with a prepping lifestyle for some people. Many, myself included, worry and stress less because I know whatever comes, my family and I will be prepared to cope with it. But for others it can add stress with the feeling that you can’t be prepared for everything but they are sure going to try. Some use the lone wolf aspect of prepping to reduce the stress of knowing they can not predict the actions of others therefor feel alone is the way to go. Others use the group aspect to reduce their stress knowing that there is often safety in numbers and that if in a group where they may lack another member may excel. But the fact is you can not predict whether you will be alone or in a group setting when the SHTF.
Even if you don’t count yourself among those experiencing stress or worry while prepping, knowing how to use the PMCT method of reducing stress can be helpful after an event especially if you find yourself in a situation you were not expecting. New preppers can use these methods to avoid the pitfalls along their way.
