Potential Mass Shootings Stopped by People With a Personal Firearm

In the United States we are too frequently dealing with the aftermath of a mass shooting. It isn’t the fact that there is always another mass shooting just around the corner that has changed the climate of gun control in this country, but the fact that in some attacks the shooter was stopped before he could do more damage by an average citizen with access to his own personal firearm. This has heated up the debate again.

The gent who ultimately stopped the church shooter in Texas is indeed a hero and is seen as such by everyone involved but himself. He is still struggling with the fact that he was responsible for taking a life even though by doing so he saved many other innocent ones. What isn’t so well known is that he isn’t the first or the only armed citizen that has stopped a mass shooter.  There are other unsung heroes who just happened to be in the right place at the right time with the right equipment to prevent further tragedy.
