Permit Required to Live Off Grid

I am amazed that the worse our economy gets in the United States and the more people try to economize the harder it is to do so! Our country needs to cut back on it’s resource usage. You would think that the government would be encouraging us to get off grid as much as possible. Similar to offering tax credits for using solar energy. But instead they make it harder and are putting up more roadblocks for Americans to be self-sufficient. Now requiring zoning permits to be off grid on your own property.
