Many preppers are single and many of those that are single are also parents. Often times they feel that they are seen as “less than” because they are alone in society and in preparing. I found that during my years as a single parent prepping that I often was more cautious and more determined to make it work than were my two parent counter-parts. Simply because I knew my children only had myself and themselves to rely upon. I taught more, stockpiled more and even learned more because there was no one to share these duties with!
