Could You, Would You, Make a Final Run to the Store When the SHTF?

I like to think I am pretty well prepared. Well except I could use another gallon of lamp oil, we used almost a quart during the last storm black out here and I haven’t gotten around to picking up more yet. Oh and my son got into my stash of batteries so they are a wee bit low now too in one size… Soooo I guess with enough forewarning to be safe in doing so I would indeed make that final run to the store before it hits the fan.

What about you? That generator that was just too pricey yesterday when you believed you were going to have to pay utility bills sure may seem reasonable today! Under what conditions would you or could you make that final run?
