There are no doubts that car seats save children’s lives. I have actually seen a car where the child seat had the front wheel of an 18-wheeler resting on the top of the seat through the roof of the vehicle and the child survived with only minor bruising! Truly a miracle as car seats of course isn’t intended to hold that kind of weight. But the child’s parents swear they believe that that car seat saved their child.
So, are we compromising our child’s safety in the car seat by bundling them up before placing them in the child seat during winter weather? According to the crash test experts… Yes!
