Blackouts, storms, or any grid down scenario can leave you in the dark and without the use of your electronics. Should the grid be down or you off the grid for any amount of time, you will need a backup steady source of power. But until you obtain or set that up or while away from that source batteries may be your only option. Like most supplies they will run out! Then what? You have a hand full of dead batteries.
