Country folks have been doing this forever! I recall going with my mother as she did her pick ups and deliveries for the local co-op she and several other “moms” had set up.  A newer trend now active within the larger towns and cities there are still a number of people who have never heard of or have never been part of a food club or a co-op. Similar to Costco or Sam’s Club but on a smaller more personal level with other like minded people who want to stock up, purchase in bulk, and cut costs.
