Home Remedies for Earaches

I admit it, I am a total wimp when it comes to pain in my ears or eyes. I despise earaches! If I recall earaches are a part of teething and I suppose in part due to my own aversion to them I suffered right along with the child. So in desperation to help ease their pain I did try a home remedy that isn’t mentioned in today’s featured article. A drop or two of warmed olive oil applied with an eye dropper. One of my children still has an occasional earache and swears by it. She has never had to take an antibiotic to rid herself of an earache.  However, for my own earaches, this never worked! I intend to try these remedies along with the recommended antibiotic prescribed by my family doctor until I find one that helps. Then I will try it with the next one before heading off to the doctor!

As with all home remedies, never replace your doctor’s professional advice with a home remedy. If a home remedy doesn’t ease the pain and clear up the problem, please seek medical care.
