In the end who sees all the home related crimes? The police! Almost always they are the first called by the homeowner as soon as they are able or become aware they have been a crime victim. When it is your job to investigate the crime, you see all the different methods and ways that criminals take advantage of the home’s weak defenses. Isn’t it time they passed that information on to us?

The best way to prevent our own homes from being a target is making it not worth the risk to the burglar, robber, rapist, or home invader. If the risk of being caught is too high, they will often move on. We can’t stop crime, but we can attempt to insure we aren’t the victims.
