Many of you may be traveling for the upcoming holiday. You may think you have it down pat as you traveled for Thanksgiving. But that truly is only a test run! The majority didn’t cross country for thanksgiving and a large number of us will for Christmas. Survival tips for the madness of holiday travel
I would like to add to the list to prep for your own personal security.
- Be very aware of your surroundings. Now more than ever before this is important
- Keep track of your baggage or carry on. Don’t make it easy for anyone to take it from you or to add something to it that you didn’t pack.
- If you can carry a tactical pen. Some TSA agents allow them others don’t.
- BEWARE of any backpacks, boxes, or bags left unattended. Stay away from them and report to airport personnel immediately.
- If you plan to take your firearm with you make sure you do so legally. Transporting Firearms on Airplanes Safely and Legally
- If you are traveling alone (especially for women or teens) sit near a group to make it appear you are not alone.
- Be aware of safety exits once aboard a plane and carefully limit the amount of alcohol you consume to remain alert and at your best.
