Herbal Remedy for Poison Ivy

An awesome herbal remedy for a nasty poison ivy rash! There is no immediate remedy for a poison ivy reaction not even with all the medications available today. But this natural treatment does almost the same thing as the more mainstream expensive creams recommended by doctors. It reduces the itching and helps contain the rash. The less you itch, the less you scratch and the less likely the skin irritation will spread or become infected. If you don’t have any stored prior to your exposure, then heating the ingredients can speed up the fermenting process making it usable faster. But preparing a batch or two in the spring to get you through the summer months is wise if you know you will be camping, hiking or are aware you may be in an area where you could be exposed.
If the rash becomes worse or if an infection should occur, please seek professional medical assistance as soon as possible. Hopefully that won’t be necessary if treated right away!
