Glow In The Dark Rope
There is no doubt how valuable paracord or rope is in camping, hiking, backpacking and in many survival uses. Although not appropriate in all survival scenarios, especially for camping it can be a great addition to your gear. I don’t know if it is just me, or if my age has increased the likelihood of getting up during the night and for sure tripping over the tent ropes and stabbing myself in the shins with the tent stakes! My flashlight tends to be focused off into the distance looking for the less obvious risks of wandering into thorny bushes, or poison ivy, and of course night time predatory critters.
With this rope not only do I not pull and tug at the tent ropes disturbing others still sleeping, but my shins and legs are grateful not to be tangled in the ropes anymore. You can flash your light briefly on the ropes and they continue to glow for some time after so that I can focus my light on where I am heading rather than downward to avoid them.
Not just useful as tent rope they also make great zipper pulls allowing you to make a quick exit from your bag without having to feel your way to the zipper. Also works for holding mosquito netting over your sleeping area.
