Discouraged by Prepping Budget?
Every new prepper knows this feeling, how do you make it through today with the economy like it is and still prepare for tomorrow? Besides keeping your preps small and multi-functional the article below gives other tips for keeping on track without breaking the bank. I personally always recommend you begin your preparations with preparing for the most likely emergency event for your area and set your goal for making it through that particular emergency for 72 hours. You can have some peace of mind from that and then build from there.
Add a can of tuna to your shopping list and buy a gallon of water to each shopping trip. You will have added less than $3.00 to your grocery budget for that trip and you will be amazed at how fast that it begins to add up in stock! Refill your prescriptions a day or two early each month and put aside the remaining medications in a clean clearly marked prescription bottle with the appropriate drug information and the appropriate patient’s name and information on it (not labeling properly can land you in legal trouble if your stash is ever discovered or could cause serious confusion if you ever need to use it) soon enough you will have 3 days’ worth saved and set aside for an emergency.
Most importantly live for today and slowly plan for tomorrow, you carry auto insurance and would not even consider not doing so because of the ramifications of not doing so… your quality-of-life insurance is equally as important!
