Now that the news media has moved on to other disasters and news stories we are hearing less about the ebola out break. Unfortunately this doesn’t mean the epidemic is over. Not even close to being contained. We all rejoice that the 2 infected Americans survived and have been considered cured and are now immune. However, what isn’t being so joyously reported is that the other doctor given the same experimental drug as the two survivors did not live. He passed away August 25th 2014 in Liberia and the Spanish priest who was also given one of the doses also did not survive. So the doctors who were so hopeful that this new drug would be the cure don’t even know if it helped at all in the treatment of the survivors.
