Homesteaders can educate preppers on why being able to build fences is important. You may want to keep things in or out! Many free-range animals do require fencing to keep them from harm and honestly theft during hard times. Fencing marks territory as well and slows anyone who would breach that territory. This includes critters that would eat your garden produce!
