Earthquake Survival

South Korea had another earthquake just a few months ago.. Although they aren’t as prevalent in other parts of the world, when they do happen they are deadly.

Living in the great Pacific Northwest we are used to the little shakes and shimmies the earth does on a regular basis. It is a constant reminder that what we call “the big one” is in fact coming our way. If you also live in earthquake territory you have seen the articles on how to prepare your home for the event. You know that even the smaller quakes can wreak the grocery stores for a day or so. Clean up can take a while causing them to close temporarily. Leaving you to make due with what is in your pantry. (Hopefully you have already stocked your pantry and done the appropriate preparations to prevent your own pantry from looking like this after)

So you are ready for the predicted “big one” and now it hits. I learned from a bit rougher than usual quake that my own reaction of freezing and covering your head with your hands wasn’t the appropriate reaction in the moment! If it had been the big one, I would have been in trouble! So what do you do during the actual event? Check it out at Survivalist Earth, our featured link below
