We have posted links on preparing for earthquakes prior to the event before on this site. See that link here >> Earthquake Preparedness  and here >>  Earthquake Proof your Pantry    Recently we added insurance issues to consider before a disaster including earthquake, you can see that here >> Financial Prepping for Natural Disasters

If you live in an earthquake prone area you are aware of it! But there are quakes that occur in some of the most unexpected places as well. Keeping up with earthquake activity is a wise move for everyone but especially those in quake zones. You can monitor that activity online for various areas detailed at this link >> Earthquake Hazards Program Monitoring

All the sources above help you prepare for an earthquake. Last year there was a 6.0 quake in California USA. Mercifully only 2were reported as seriously injured although dozens of people received minor injuries and thousands of buildings were damaged. This quake took place in Northern California in the wine country where the population is a bit less dense than in major metropolitan areas. Had it occurred in an area of denser population there would have been many more seriously injured. So What should we do just before, during and immediately after an earthquake? Our friends over at Doom and Bloom, Doctor and nurse team Joe and Amy Alton commonly known as Doc Bones and Nurse Amy have made some of that information available to us via the link below and for those who prefer video instruction at the video also below
