DIY Duct Tape Field Stretcher
Camping, hiking, or bugging out Duct tape should definitely be part of any prepared take away bag! It has so many emergency uses that I couldn’t begin to count them all. One thing though I had never considered making a field stretcher from duct tape.
If you are out in rough terrain and someone is injured this could become literally a life saver! It is of course not perfect. It would pretty much require a group larger than 3 so that there was enough hands to carry it out of wherever. I don’t think this would hold up long if it had to be dragged. However, every foot counts in an emergency!
If you feel you might be likely to need a stretcher ie… someone in your group is elderly, ill, or quite young or simply prone to accidents then a better way to prepare is to have a portable tactical stretcher like this one >> http://amzn.to/2nJ6Aig as part of your outdoor or bug out bag. It is suitable to drag if necessary.
If you are in a situation where injury is unexpected and have cleverly included duct tape in your supplies. Here is how to DIY a duct tape emergency stretcher from Instructables
