Drowning First Aid
We have discussed both how to assist someone else who is drowning and what to do if the person drowning is you! But what do you do once you have them or yourself out of the water? The EMT’s or a lifeguard may not be standing by to take over the rescue once the victim is once again on shore or out of the pool. Please also keep in mind that a toddler can drown in only a few inches of water! The need for assistance doesn’t end once on dry land.
