DIY Solar Distiller
The featured article talks about building your own solar still. With a still you can turn undrinkable water into pure home distilled hydration. Purchasing one can be really pricey, even for a small distiller the asking prices are 200+.
The uses can be almost unlimited from refilling lead-acid batteries in normal times to turning puddle water to drinking water in a SHTF scenario. By building your own you save money and if you are able to use recycled materials it can be free! In this article the glass is only on the top and the distiller is set up on concrete blocks but I have seen these that were made from all glass and old furniture frames!
