Testing your soil before gardening can help answer a multitude of questions that you may not have even realized you should be asking. For the new gardener… where should I place my garden for the best soil? What plants grow best in the soil I have? Do I need to fertilize before planting? How much water will my garden require?
It can also assist the avid gardener with help with questions such as… Why didn’t this particular plant do well in last year’s garden? What level of fertilizer is necessary to maintain last year’s harvest? The same question with the amount of water to use.
