DIY Potato Vodka and Survival uses for Alcohol

Whether you enjoy an occasional cocktail or not, learning how to make your own vodka or other spirits can be a handy survival skill.
After the dust settles in a SHTF scenario it becomes an awesome barter item. Not just for those that want to drink it either! Alcohol has a number of survival uses. If the ability to purchase alcohol based products is compromised, people will be looking for a substitutes. Vodka would probably be the most sought after substitute as it has less natural flavorings and the ability to easily add your own flavor preferences.
If you’re making it yourself now, you can infuse the distilled vodka with all kinds of fruits or spices and create your own flavors impressing guests with your own special blend. Simply set aside the amount you would like to flavor and add the fruit or spice of choice and let it rest and infuse.
