DIY Modern Yurt

The traditional yurt was a portable, round tent covered with skins or felt and used as a dwelling by several distinct nomadic groups in the steppes of Central Asia. But those were your great great great grandfather’s yurts! Today’s yurt can be as modern or as primitive as  you choose. The yurt featured in the video below was built by a young man and  his girl friend in Oregon where they had found the housing market a little tight for their lifestyle. Give the video a look as this is truly an awesome little home!
