DIY Converting Water Heater to Wood Stove
As always those DIY projects that reuse and recycle items no longer usable for their original purpose are my favorite. This is one of those projects. Old water heaters can usually be gotten for haul off alone, or you may have one that is well past it’s prime yourself. With some time, patience, and skill you can convert that old water heater into a fully functioning wood burning stove that can heat your home now or in a time of crisis. You may even find that post SHTF your current water heater has little value to you anymore as its intended purpose but great value as a wood stove.
