DIY Convert Old Freezer to New Smoker

I really hate when an appliance stops working… I have no doubt we all do. First is the expense of any damage done prior to our realization that the appliance has quit functioning. In the case of a freezer that could alone be devastating. But then you have to purchase a new one and adding salt to the injury have the old one hauled away. But it lessens the sting (for me anyway) if I can reuse or convert that old appliance for a new purpose. Not only do I then continue to receive benefit of my original purchase but of the new use.
