DIY Catchment Pond
Creating your own catchment pond on your own property is one way of making sure you have a reserve water source. It could be part of your aquaponics system or even just a nice, stocked fishing pond. Usage would only be limited by the size, the weather in your locale and the laws in your area. In most states within the US permits are required prior to building and in some states the amount of water you collect could be limited. If you are considering an undeveloped plot of land for your bug out location creating a catchment pond would not only be extremely helpful after a SHTFevent but would add value to the property.
