I don’t particularly like labels on people. Especially those that can have a huge swing in meaning depending on who is using the label and in what context. To me the term preppers is defined as people who plan ahead to insure their and their family’s or group’s quality of life. This definition can encompass all types and reasons for preparing.
But to others it could have a completely different meaning from the homesteader to the conspiracy theorists. In the blog featured in this post it refers to the personality of the person as well as how and why they are preparing. It puts each type into a broad category and you may find that you are a bit of this and a bit of that. Or it could miss the mark altogether with you.
