COVID-19 Quarantine House Arrest
As we continue to ride the wave of this pandemic, more and more states and municipalities are taking stronger actions to insure compliance with quarantine orders, mask requirements and social distancing needs. I recall my parents speaking of those that were sent to “asylums” during the time of mass outbreaks of Tuberculosis. At home quarantine is much preferable in my opinion. However, doing so under house arrest conditions?
I wonder if Ms Linscott had continued to speak with the health department if she would have been able to negotiate a contract for self quarantine she would have been more comfortable with. As someone who has medical issues that could require emergency services I am unsure I would have been comfortable either with the agreement she was asked to sign. I would be uncomfortable with the idea of having to call the health department prior to an ambulance in any scenario. I am equally uncomfortable with those who have tested positive not quarantining for the health and welfare of their communities.
