More and more new construction is moving to solar power. But that doesn’t mean those of us who have older homes don’t want in on the savings! The cost of heating water is one of the largest expenses in my household. Loads of laundry and tons of showers have me always cautious of not only the bill but the time it takes to refill the current water tank. I would love to be able to take advantage of the sun when it’s available here and use it to heat the water in my water heater. I am sharing the how-to instructions I located.
