Carrying a Handgun in Your Vehicle

Whether you have a concealed carry permit or not, the requirements for carrying a handgun while in a vehicle vary state to state and country to country. What you see pictured above (believe it or not) is legal in my home state unless you have a concealed carry permit! The weapon must be unloaded and in plain view with the ammunition locked in the glove box or in the trunk of the vehicle. Obviously this is not a safest way to carry a hand gun. Not only do you risk a misfire should the gun not be completely empty but it is not available to you if needed without taking an inordinate amount of time to make it usable.
