When I saw this article, I knew I had to share it with you. So often survival medicine is about first aid and staying safe from a pandemic. It really is so much more than that. Once the wounds are dressed, new set of issues arise. Dehydration, malnutrition, preventing infections, breathing difficulties, etc. all are common disaster medical issues that take as many lives as did the event itself. Some of these issues can be prevented with common sense. It’s wise to learn these lessons now when you’re not faced with the stress and limited resources of an emergency situation.
